TRUCKERS ARE HEROES. Yesterday, we drove up to Palo Alto and back on the I 5 to help family. The number of trucks on the I 5 is up significantly while cars are almost nonexistent. In the rest areas, the truck parking overflows onto the entrance and exit ramps. At the big truck stops the trucks are lined up for fuel. and the streets around them are packed with parked trucks. These truckers are heroes. They are working long hours and driving longer routes than normal. We should not overlook the contribution of the long-haul truckers in reducing COVID 19 spread. They are enabling us to stay home and flatten the curve.

BTW, we maintained extreme social distancing when we stopped for Gas.
