Snow Valley Ski Area,  California

Another stop on my infrequent bucket list journey to visit all ski areas in the west.

Haven’t been here since I was a teenager with my family. Enjoyed 19 runs using an afternoon pass.  All lifts are the old style. Tomorrow Snow Summit and then Wednesday Bear Mountain.

60s and 70s Memories of Snow Valley.  My parents were always working to keep our lodging costs down so we could get more ski days.  At Snow Valley the Sierra Club had a primitive cabin across the street.  It was more of a dorm.  So we’d take our sleeping bags and wake up in the cold cabin.  We’d put our ski clothes on inside our sleeping bags.  Then we go over to the kitchen which had a wood stove to warm up.
