According to the Search Engine Land Blog, Google continues to make changes to it’s search engine algorithm to reduce the impact companies to affect search engine ranking.

They got this quote from Google:  “this update incorporates some new signals that help differentiate between higher- and lower-quality sites. As a result, some sites are ranking higher after this most recent update.”
